Minutes of Thirty first General Body Meeting

31st General Body Meeting - Proposals and Resolutions.

The 31st General Body Meeting of the Senior Citizen Welfare Association was held at the Senior Citizen Bhavan at 5:30 pm on the 9th of March, 2025.

1. The meeting commenced with a warm welcome extended to the senior members present.

2. All newly joined members were graciously welcomed into the association, and they introduced themselves to the existing members.

3. The association members collectively greeted those celebrating their birthdays in the month of March.

4. Dr. C. Manik Prabhu delivered an informative session on the precautions to be taken for Piles, Fissures, and Fistula as part of the “Doctor Gaari Salahalu” program.

5. On the recommendation of the Executive Committee, V. Yadaiah Garu and Dr. S. Manohar Rao Garu were nominated and introduced as Advisory Board members, joining the existing members of the board.

6. A lottery was conducted for two chits. Dr. S. Manohar Rao was the winner of the first series, while O. M. Kavi won in the second series.

7. The President expressed his appreciation for the continued engagement and communication among members, particularly through the WhatsApp group. However, due to the high volume of audio and video messages, important information from the association office was sometimes getting lost. To address this issue, the following steps were taken:
o. WhatsApp settings have been adjusted to ensure that messages disappear after 24 hours.
o. Important messages can be saved by forwarding them to personal WhatsApp accounts.
o. The Senior Citizen Welfare Association and Executive Committee groups have been added to a new community called "Notifications - Announcements," which will ensure that critical information is not missed. Only admins will post important updates in this community, and messages in this community will not disappear unless deleted manually.

8. The President highlighted the importance of maintaining a visitor’s book at the Senior Citizen Bhavan to track visitors' names, phone numbers, and the time of their visit. After seeking members' opinions, it was met with unanimous approval, as evidenced by applause from the members.

9. Regarding the Get-Together Party at ICRISAT, a committee visited the venue to assess its facilities, accommodation, and feasibility. Based on their findings, the following decisions were made jointly by Organizing committee, Executive committee, Games & Cultural committee and Advisory Board Members:
a. The Get-Together party will be held on Sunday, 23rd March 2025.
b. The participation fee for the event is Rs. 700 per individual and Rs. 1400 for couples, which will cover breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and transportation.
c. The last date for submitting the participation fee is 16th March 2025.
d. Payments can be made to B. Chandrasekhar (Phone: 94400 53705) or G. Venkateshwar Rao (Phone: 94409 72442).
e. The President requested all members to attend with their spouses.
f. The reporting time at the office is 7:00 AM sharp on 23rd March 2025.

10. The meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Joint Secretary, K. Pandurangaiah Garu.
